We understand that in light of current global events, particularly the conflict in the Middle East, you may have questions or concerns about upcoming travel. We want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our students are always our top priority, and we are committed to providing an enriching study experience that is as safe as possible.
The US Department of State issued a Worldwide Caution alert on June 22, 2025.
We continuously monitor global events and official travel advisories from the U.S. Department of State. Currently, the vast majority of European countries maintain a "Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions" advisory, or a “Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution” advisory. CIS Abroad is not currently sending students to any country with a “Level 3: Reconsider Travel’ or a “Level 4: Do Not Travel’ designation. We work closely with our partners on the ground in Europe, and around the world, who provide real-time local insights and maintain strong relationships with local authorities. Our on-site staff are in frequent communication with students, and will offer safety advice as necessary.
For your peace of mind, we want to highlight the following:
We believe that international travel, especially during formative years, offers invaluable opportunities for personal growth, cultural understanding, and broadening perspectives. Study Abroad offers unparalleled educational and cultural experiences that cannot be replicated on the home campus.
We encourage you to reach out to us directly, at riskmanagement@cisabroad.com, with any specific questions or concerns you may have. We are here to provide you with the most up-to-date information and to help you feel confident and excited about your upcoming study abroad experience.
