Costa Rica Flooding - November 2024

November 11, 2024

Over the past week Costa Rica has had a lot of rain throughout the entire country.  Now certain areas are experiencing ground saturation, flooding, and some land slides.  The worst hit area is Guanacaste in the north west of the country.  San Jose, where the CIS Abroad program is based, is very wet but Universidad Veritas and the surrounding area, where our students live, has been fine.  We have checked in with all host families and students to ensure that everyone is safe. Also, we’ve asked all students to re-consider unnecessary travel this upcoming weekend.
